Site Content & Design: Menus

Managing Menus

You can only display one top-level menu item at a time. It is recommended that you nest your entire navigation under the default 'Main Menu' parent-item or create a new "Dropdown Placeholder" if you wish to manage multiple menus - often this approach is used to organize unreleased content via menus. Group Overrides allow you to select one different 'Main Menu' parent item per group.*

To Select the Global Navigation:

  1. Navigate to the backend of the system (e.g. http://curatorexample.com/backend).
  2. Navigate to the Curator > Settings > Portal Settings section from the left-hand menu and click the "Styles" tab.
  3. Expand the "Menu Options" section and select your menu using the Main Menu dropdown.

To Select a Group Override Navigation:

  1. Navigate to the backend of the system (e.g. http://curatorexample.com/backend).
  2. Navigate to the Curator > Settings > Users > Frontend Group Overrides section from the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on the Group Override you would like to modify or click the "New Group Override" button at the top to create a new override.
  4. Click the "Styles" tab,
  5. Choose your overridden Main Menu Main Menu dropdown.
