    Filter Categories

    Filter Categories can group filters/parameters together under a specific category. When the dashboard filter pop out is rendered on the right side, it will group all of the filters/parameters together under the filter category name. If there are no filters displayed using the filter category, then it will not be rendered either.

    To enable filter categories

    1. Navigate to the backend of the system (e.g. https://www.site.com/backend).
    2. Log in if prompted.
    3. Click on Settings > Curator > Portal Settings in the left-hand menu.
    4. Click on "Features" at the top of content page.
    5. Expand the "Functionality" section and toggle on the "Filter Categories" button.
    6. Click "Save" on the top right of the page.

    To create a filter category:

    1. Navigate to the backend of the system (e.g. https://www.site.com/backend).
    2. Log in if prompted.
    3. Click on Tableau > Filter Categories in the left-hand menu.
    4. Click the "New Filter Category" button.
    5. Type in a display name in the "Name" field.
    6. Click the "Save" button.
